O nama

Music in steps Association (MooK) was founded in 2020 on the island of Krk. The idea was formed within a group of enthusiasts who wished to bring music closer to everyone. Our vision is that everybody is able to feel music through various senses, actively and effectively develop their own skills and interests if they are offered a holistic approach to education by implementing content from various areas, and by tailoring the program to one’s personal affinities and capabilities.

We want to intertwine different fields of science and art to enable personal and professional development of an individual, and as the final achievement of the entire process we see a fully-formed, complete musician. The word culture connects all the areas we include. Music, physical health, and art;  culture as a way of life. The Music camp represents the first activity through which we want to realize our vision, and it will be held on the island of Krk. In that way, we bring high quality, modern education closer to the youth of smaller, local communities.

The distance from larger urban centers should not stand in the way of one’s development, so we need to create conditions and plan educational interventions in order to enable each and every person to develop their own potentials. The members of the Association are experts in various fields of education and child development, musicians, kinesiologists, educators, teachers, graphic designers with considerable experience, having spent numerous years working with children and adults. Many of them have won awards in their respective areas.
