Music camp
The Muzika u koracima Music Camp was a multi-day intensive educational programme held in five editions between 2020 and 2025, bringing together children and young people of different ages and levels of musical experience.
The camp was conceived as a holistic musical and personal development, where participants developed technical skills, musical expression, self-confidence and a sense of community through individual and group work. Particular emphasis was placed on the learning process, collaboration and the creation of a safe and supportive environment, free from competitive pressure.
The Music Camp consisted of three parallel educational programmes, tailored to the age and experience of participants:
Classical Guitar Programme
The classical guitar programme was intended for participants with prior knowledge of classical guitar, primarily students of primary and secondary music schools.
The programme included individual lessons with mentors, chamber music, guitar orchestra, workshops and public performances. The focus was on developing technique, interpretation, musicality and stage experience, while encouraging independent work and artistic reflection.
Singing Programme (Popular Music)
The singing programme was designed for participants with prior vocal experience. Participation required an audio or video submission in order to ensure high-quality and individualised mentorship.
Led by top mentors in the field of popular music, the programme focused on proper vocal technique, interpretation, repertoire development and stage performance, with particular attention given to personal expression, self-confidence and an understanding of contemporary musical styles.
Music in Steps
Music in Steps was a programme designed for younger children with no prior musical background.
It was conceived as a gentle first encounter with music through play, movement, listening and basic musical activities. The goal was to stimulate the development of listening skills, rhythm, coordination and interest in music, creating a positive and supportive learning experience.
The Music Camp played an important role in shaping the pedagogical approach of the Muzika u koracima association and, over the years, became a meeting place for young musicians, mentors and the wider community. The experiences gained through this project represent one of the key foundations for the development of the NextGen Classical Guitar project. NextGen Classical Guitar.

International Guitar Competition
The Muzika u koracima International Guitar Competition was held over two consecutive years, from 2024. do 2025., in Punat, as an international gathering of young classical guitarists, distinguished pedagogues and concert artists.
The competition was conceived as a high-quality artistic and educational eventaimed at fostering excellence, professional development and international exchange. Special emphasis was placed on creating a fair, transparent and supportive environmentin which each participant could present their work at a serious and professional level.
The programme featured renowned international guitarists and educatorsand welcomed participants and guests from various parts of the world, including Chile, Poland, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby fulfilling its goal of operating on an international level and creating a space for the exchange of diverse pedagogical and performance traditions.
Additional value was provided through opening and closing concerts performed by distinguished guitarists and mentors, complementing the competitive segment with concert and educational content. These concerts enriched the cultural life of the local community and enabled both audiences and participants to experience high-level artistic performance firsthand.
The competitive segment was overseen by an international jury of seven members, ensuring objective and fair evaluation. The diversity of professional perspectives within the jury guaranteed a high level of professionalism and transparency.
Organising the International Guitar Competition significantly contributed to the development of the association’s organisational and pedagogical capacities. The experiences gained, international collaborations and artistic standards established through the competition were integrated into the further development of the association and served as one of the key foundations for the creation of the NextGen Classical Guitar project.

Workshops
The workshops of the Muzika u koracima association represent a multi-month educational programme held in Milohnići on the island of Krk. They are conceived as a continuous space for learning, creation and exchange, with a strong focus on the accessibility of arts education within the local community.
Workshop programmes are adapted to different age groups and interests and connect music and visual arts through professional mentorship in a supportive environment.
Piano Workshops

The piano workshops Black and White World are intended for children and young people who wish to become acquainted with the piano or deepen their musical knowledge through an individualised and carefully structured approach.
The programme focuses on the development of basic and advanced musical skills, musical understanding, listening, rhythm and playing technique, while encouraging curiosity and creativity. Particular attention is given to adapting the work to each participant’s age, experience and interests.
The workshops take place in a safe and supportive environment, with the aim of fostering a positive relationship with music and learning.
KreativLab
Visual Arts Workshops - Programme Leader: Nisa Petrović
KreativLab is a multi-month visual arts workshop programme designed for children and young people interested in exploring various forms of visual and creative expression.
The workshops encourage free creation, experimentation with materials and the development of personal expression through professional guidance and carefully designed tasks. The programme includes drawing, painting, working with various techniques and materials, as well as developing visual literacy.
KreativLab places emphasis on the creative process, the development of creative thinking and self-confidence, offering a space where participants can explore, learn and grow at their own pace.
The workshops in Milohnići represent an important part of the Muzika u koracima association’s activities, strengthening the connection between the arts and the local community. Through music and visual arts programmes, the workshops support the long term and continuous development of children and young people and form a stable foundation for the association’s future projects and programmes. The workshop programmes are supported by the City of Krk.
