The Guitar 2024 program (classical guitar) includes:

• individual lessons with top experts in their respective fields
• music arrangement and improvisation workshops
• chamber music workshops – playing music in groups

The participants of the GUITAR 2024 program take individual classical guitar lessons in mixed classes with prof. Rumenović, prof. Munitić , and prof. Čolović.

By implementing an individual approach, the goal is to help each participant develop their musical potential.

The same mentors hold the workshop Chamber Music.

• Music theory workshops, held by prof. Juretić, include stylistic features of music, ways to listen to and interpret music, orchestration, solfeggio in practice, as well as everything else necessary for a high quality interpretation of a musical piece..
• Fundamentals of music arrangement and improvisation – Ivan Pešut will help you break new musical grounds using the tools you already possess.
• Out of box workshop is a great opportunity to discover all the possibilities your instrument offers, with the help of one of the best jazz and modern style guitarists of the younger generation, Zvonimir Radišić
• On-stage movement and behavior – ballet professor Igor Čupković will help you become aware of the importance of good posture and will introduce you to the basics of on-stage movement, necessary for a successful public performance.
• Creative workshops – various workshops held by guest mentors, depending on the available time.
• Ready for a performance or two: guitar, stage fright and you (interactive lecture) by Valnea Žauhar
  Performance anxiety or stage fright is a common experience for both children and adults, and it can appear when performing in smaller or larger halls, during exams, auditions, and competitions. The fact that renowned artists, such as the opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, the cellist Pablo Casals, and the pianist Vladimir Horowitz experienced stage fright while performing tells us that we can learn how to play with stage fright as our ally. This lecture will help you to learn why we experience stage fright, why a certain amount of it is important when we perform in public, and how we can reshape it to make it useful.
• After the program GUITAR 2024 finishes, each participant will receive an overview of their work from their mentors, as well as guidelines for further improvement.
• The participants of the Music camp’s program GUITAR 2024 will stay at Omladinskom odmaralištu Punat (full board).
• The volunteers and mentors take care of the Camp’s participants throughout their stay there. Mentors are available for any questions throughout the day. If possible, a short trip around the local area will be organized. The participants will perform at concerts and will receive Music camp 2024 participation diplomas.

Lessons in the Camp are held throughout the day at the primary school “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Krk, district school Punat.

Note: Participants who also decide to take part in the International guitar competition do not need to pay the competition entry fee.

The program Music in steps includes:

• Work in smaller groups with an emphasis on instruments depending on the child’s affinities – keyboard, guitar, ukulele, modern singing
• music arrangement and improvisation workshops – adjusted for the group, no prior knowledge required
• chamber music workshops – sviranje u bendu
• music theory workshops – introducing the fundamentals of the music alphabet
• on-stage movement and behavior
• creative workshops

The participants of the Music in steps program will attend lessons in smaller groups, held by their mentor Ana Horvat, univ. bacc. praesc. educ., Ivana Marčelja, prof. savjetnica , and Zelda Bašić, univ. bacc. prasesc. educ. depending on the chosen instrument(s).

• Additional singing workshop: Sergej Božić, musician singer
• After the program Music in steps finishes, each participant will receive an overview of their work from their mentors, as well as guidelines for further improvement.
• The participants of the Music camp’s program Music in steps will stay at Omladinskom odmaralištu Punat (full board).

The program Music in steps junior includes:

• music workshops – learning about basic music concepts through fun examples.
• art workshops – learning about various techniques of expression through visual arts.

Lessons are held by Ana Horvat, univ.bacc.paed. , and Zelda Bašić, univ. bacc. praesc. educ.

This program is ideal for children with an inclination towards expression through music and/or visual arts, and who are still not able to enroll into a music school. With our mentor, they will be able to find their own expression and learn to be part of a creative community.

PROGRAM:
Learning the basics of music theory through singing and playing as preparation for future musical education, becoming familiar with various instruments in order to develop a sense of rhythm and melody, and to learn about various techniques of expression in visual arts.

DID YOU KNOW that when a child learns to express themselves through music and visual arts, the functions of their brain responsible for complex thinking processes, such as problem solving, reasoning, analyzing, abstraction, generalization, organization, and planning are being developed?

This workshop does not include transport, accommodation, and food.

The students will receive participation diplomas at the final concert.

Lessons last 120 minutes and are held in the afternoon at the primary school “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Krk, district school Punat.
